Our Instructing Team at Lee's Taekwondo Australia (LTA) are professional, experienced and welcoming. We are passionate about Taekwondo and helping students on their journey at LTA. Our team teach engaging, educational and practical martial arts classes for ages between 18 months and 80 years of age. LTA's Instructing Team regularly participate in training and development sessions to ensure the highest standard of martial arts instruction is provided.

Instructors
Grand Master Stuart Lee, 8th DanTraining in Martial Arts since 1973, Stuart was a competitor for 20+ years. He captained many Australian teams until he retired in 1994. Stuart went on to Manager the National Sports Organisations (NSO) Coach Education Director (1998-2001), he was the Australian Team Selector and High Performance Manager (2001-2008) and was the Australian Olympic Team's Taekwondo Section Manager in Athens 2004.
Stuart was appointed by World Taekwondo as the Technical Delegate (TD) for the Multi-sport Pacific Games in 2015 (Papua New Guinea), 2019 (Samoa) and recently for 2023 in the Solomon Islands. |
Head Instructor Tayla Larke, 4th DanTayla has been doing taekwondo for about 13 years, starting when she was 12. With 5 years of competition experience, including early years of Poomsae and then focusing on sparring at state and national level. Tayla has been a lead instructor for 5 years with LTA.
LTA commenced the All Abilities Program in 2020 with Ms Tayla as Lead for this fantastic program. Tayla has a certificate IV in community services and mental health and has worked as a disability support worker for 5 years, she is currently completing her Certificate IV in allied health assisting. She is passionate about providing disability inclusive physical activity through Taekwondo. |
Lead Instructor Jarrod Wilson, 3rd DanJarrod started Taekwondo in 2014 and become an instructor in 2018. This is his eighth year of training, and in that time he scored silver in one competition for sparring although his main focus is on instructing not competing. He is a third dan black belt in Taekwondo, and a blue belt in Hapkido.

Lead Instructor Shariz Dayola, 3rd DanMs. Shariz is a Head Instructor at Lee's Taekwondo Australia and is a 3rd Dan Black belt. She started taekwondo in 2011 as a 10 year old and started competing in sparring in 2013. She competed in the -46kg junior black belt division in the 2015 Adelaide nationals and won silver medal. Ms. Shariz is currently studying a bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Canberra whilst enjoying her passion for teaching and instructing as well as taekwondo as a sport and the Lee's Taekwondo community.

Assistant Instructor Ella Baker, Brown Belt Black Stripe (ChoDanBo)Ella commenced training in Taekwondo in 2016 as an 8 year old and previously trained in MMA. Ella has competed in several Australia wide competitions in Poomsae, winning gold in both NSW and ACT. She participated in the National Poomsae Championship in 2021 getting the Bronze medal and the Oceania Poomsae Championships in 2020.
Ella has also played netball since she was 6 and has been selected to play in Representative Netball teams for the past 6 years. Ella also coaches a junior netball team and can be seen often umpiring the junior games. |
